This weekend, the Highland Elementary Beta Club traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete at the National Beta Convention — and we’re proud to share that our Group Talent team placed 10th in the nation with a performance inspired by this year’s theme, Radiate! 🌟🎭 In addition to Group Talent, our incredible students also represented us in a variety of competitions, including: • National Presidential Skit • Marketing - Club Trading Pin - Recyclable arts - Jewelry-placed 3rd • Collaboration Connection • Project Proposal • Service Learning Showcase We are beyond proud of their hard work, leadership, and teamwork on the national stage. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the parents, teachers, and community members who have supported our journey. Our Kentucky Proud theme at camp this week focused on The Kentucky Derby. We started off by making pool noodle horses to race. Then the Kentucky Derby Museum came to Highland, and students were able to show off what they learned this week by answering questions about the Derby.

These group of Highland students braved 650 steps, walked across the world’s longest underground swing bridge, and saw one of the world’s largest free-standing cave domes in the United States on their trip to Hidden River Cave. #164Scottie #ThisIsHighland

Yearbooks for the 2024-2025 school year are coming home today! There are still a small amount of yearbooks for sale in case you didn't get one purchased. It will be a first come first serve basis. We hope our students have enjoyed getting their yearbooks and signing them with their teachers and friends today.
