Thank you to David Wolter from WBKO for spending the afternoon with our 3rd grade students and teaching them all about weather. He shared information about different types of clouds, how meteorologists track storms, and what to watch for during severe weather.

Ms. Morgan & Mr. Elmore's kindergarten class has been reading and learning about the animal shelter this week. We visited the BRAWA animal shelter today to learn more, deliver donations, and read to the shelter animals. There are so many precious animals at BRAWA that are ready for their fur-ever homes! Kindergarten and New Student enrollment is on March 24th from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Take a tour of our schools and learn about the Tradition of Excellence at Glasgow Independent Schools. Our 21st Century Summer Program will run June 1, 2026 through June 26, 2026, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Students will participate in engaging learning activities designed to strengthen academic skills while keeping learning fun during the month of June. The program will include hands-on lessons, collaborative activities, and opportunities for students to build confidence and stay connected with their peers in a supportive environment

The Highland Scholastic Book Fair starts this Thursday, and I’m looking for a few adults connected to HES students to volunteer during the event. Volunteers will supervise students who are not shopping while I assist students at the book fair. I will be visible and available the entire time.

Just a reminder that students may create book float to be displayed in the library as part of our Read Across America Week celebration, as well as a kick off to our spring book fair (March 12-20)! This activity is not required, but it is a great opportunity for families to work on something fun together! Highland students that turn in a book float will receive a $5 coupon for the book fair.
Tuesday, March 10 is the LAST day to turn in a book float to receive a $5 book fair coupon.
