Mission Statement

Principal's Message
Philip West

Welcome to Highland Elementary School for the 2023-2024 school year!!   My name is Philip West, and it is my honor and privilege to serve as your principal this year!  Highland is a very special place, because of the wonderful scholars who learn here every day, and the incredible staffulty (that is what we call our faculty and staff) who serve here each day to be sure that your students have a wonderful school experience!

**We believe in creating a family atmosphere where each and every one of our scholars know that they are loved and safe, and where they also know that they are held to high expectations for their behavior, academic success, responsibility, and citizenship.  Our goal is for every student to make continual progress every day.  We are also committed to taking care of the WHOLE child, and doing everything we can to meet their social and emotional needs as well as their academic needs.  We want every one of our scholars to thrive, and we will do everything in our power to be sure that they do. **

If you ever have any questions, concerns, or ideas - please feel free to email me at philip.west@glasgow.kyschools.usor contact the school to set up a meeting.  We look forward to partnering with each of you to make this a wonderful school year for everyone!
